Okay, so this is probably really stupid, but I have no idea what I want to do when I leave Sixth Form. I'm taking Art, Psychology, English Lit, and Philosophy and Ethics. I'm enjoying Art and Philos&Eths most, and I was wondering if you had any ideas where these could take me, any University courses, or careers, you think might spring from these subjects? Thanks! **
It's fine not to know what you want to do - you're in the same position as the majority of other people who are currently doing their A levels and that's fine. The majority of adults don't really know what they want to do either, you just have to follow what interests you and see what happens.
If you enjoy philosophy and arts then that probably means you're fairly creative and enjoy expression, in addition to being able to consider lots of different perspectives because you accept that there isn't one "right" in the world. This would open up loads of career routes and also loads of other degree subjects - you might be interested in the social sciences, or in areas like marketing, or more practical things like graphic design or art.
Try not to think about things as you're planning for life, think about it in stages. If you decide that you'd like to go to university then you're just looking for something that you'd enjoy studying in more detail for another 3 years, that's all.
It's simple, just follow your dream. Be who you want to be.
Some people dont decide till late about what they want to do. They just do the subjects they enjoy and get really good grades, then see what universitys have to offer with their subjects. so dont worry as long as your doing subjects you like im sure you'll be fine :)
