Is RS actually important?

I want to focus on other exams and in my mock i got an F. I personally don't care about this GCSE and was wondering whether or not it's really important? Or can i give it minimum revision?

You should give it as much revision as you would to your other GCSE's. if you get a good grade in this then it shows ur college/sixthform that you have a wide spread of knowledge and that you understand and respect the values of people who have different faiths/beliefs to you. So it is better if you do well in it =D

I love RS, it makes me think for myself instead of just blindly believing religious leaders/parents/holy texts. And now I have an even stronger belief. But im sure you don't care about that...

In terms of grades of course it's important! Most sixthforms/universities don't care what subjects you took for GCSE, but they do looks at the overall grades!

i think its importnt becuase you learn about peoples opions to life, cultures and different belifs that you m ight not agree with, this will help later in life if you have anyproblems with people opions.

RE never was and never will be an easy subject for me, however ive spent the last 3 days revising and i have a better understanding, hopefully enough to get me at least a C in one of the exams. Thankyou:)

Well i don't think its that important but as Mariah said its good to get a good grade in it. To tell you the truth I've done my gcse (short course) last year and i got an a (don't know how i did it =P) whereas in my mock i got an E =P ... but i think that you should revise for it but not as much as the others... Do you see what i mean??

Every grade is important, you'll realise that if you decide to go to uni. RS has helped me so much in my other subjects, it's worth it.

it depends on what u want to do as a future career, if its nothing to do with the subject then i wouldnt worry baout it, but there again, what if u want to go to uni or get a job, that extra qualification will make u stand out if someone else applyin hasnt got as many qualifications as u.  the more qualifications u can get, no matter what they are, the more likely people will take u on in jobs and for uni and colllege courses :)

Dude, doing RS is awesome, it is an easy subject to get an A in which would make your sixth form school say that they will be impressed and probably offer you a place, but of course you will need to do well in your main subjects that you will actually do at A level unless you are in fact doing RS or RE at A level then it is important.

Okay, these are my teachers words, not mine

" R.E is the most easiest subject to pass in. If you don't pass, think  how colleges will think of you..."

soo, yeah.. I sort of agree... But, I don't regard it as an important subject... all my sciences and maths and english have taken up that place!
