Is it worth asking for a remark?

I recieved my A2 results as many others, for my January exams.

I got a D on Power and Politics, and 45 UMS points. From what I see from friends and their results, I was not far off a C grade.
Would it be worth going for a remark, or sticking with my score?

It is always worth getting it re-marked especially if you are soooo close to another grade. There is always the risk of it going down but that is often so unlikely. I got one re-marked last year, go for it!

Go for it, I got one of my exams last year remarked and gains 5 more marks, which pushed me up a grade. I heard its very rare that a mark goes down instead of up!

if you think its worth it then you definitely should. however there is a chance of your grade going down. i didn't do too well in my last exam so i decided to retake it. if you do decide to get a re mark i hope it all goes well! :)

I don't know if this is avaliable in your school but at mine if you give in the form by a certain date and pay for a PRIORITY SCRIPT you can get a script back and then decide if you want to get your paper remarked.

You can also use a ums convertor to see how close you actually were to the higher grade. http://web.aqa.org.uk/UMS/index.php

Hope this helps :)
