Hi there!

I do History, and it's a really cool subject..although the worst thing about it is that you have 3 final exams (Well in my school, that's the case)
History is interesting as it has an impact on society today!
It's interesting when you learn about the previous super power countries, and how everything has kinda evolved!

It's a really cool subject, gotta love history~

I personally never did history as a GCSE but having said that for ALevel i decided i wanted to, Having not studied history fro two years i have enjoyed Alevel history and i am predicted A, and no i have not found it hard , but what i would personally say is do what you want to do do not feel pressured into studying subjects you dont like and you have no passion for :)

GCSE history is really interesting if you're into that sort of thing (which I am so I really enjoyed it) but yes it's hard. There are restricting time limits in the exams and controlled assessments, there are a lot of names, dates and numbers to learn and in the exam I'm currently about to do in it, they exam boards can be really stupid about what they want. They want you to cross reference sources in one essay, make inferences in the next essay, compare sources in another essay, do all these things and more in a different essay, it gets intense lol :P But I still really like it because the topics are interesting and you can do well if you work at it, it's not impossible! :)

i'm going to fo my history gcse this year and for the mocks i came out with all As.. and i got that by basically knowing my facts.. i guess if you know all your facts and you know how to structure you answer then you'll be fine.

Very hard and boring in my opinion, because it is all about war, there is no variety. If you enjoy history go for it! p.s Geography's Better =D
