ADH stands for 'Anti-diuretic hormone', more ADH is released when the body is dehydrated (when the water level in the blood plasma is too low).

When the water level in blood plasma is too low, blood plasma becomes more concentrated Thirst centre in hypothalamus is more stimulated Pituitary gland releases more ADH Kidney reabsorbs more water in blood, excretes less water in urine Water level returns to normal.
