In On My First Sonne, what is meant by ''just day'' in the poem :)

thanks, im just a little unsure what Jonson means by ''just day'' thanks :)

in the line 'exacted by thy fate, on this just day' jonson is saying that the death of his son was meant to happen and the day it happened was the day it was meant to be. 'just' in this context means fair and he is saying that it was fate to happen on that day and it shouldnt have been any other day...

well that's my interpretation... hope it makes sense!

I think that it means his birthday!! It is really sad to think that but that is like 'his' day if you know what I mean... :)
