I'm really struggling with the sources question - help?!

Im taking edexcel gcse history. The topic is 'A divided union? The Usa 1945-70'

You need a little knowledge, the primary skill here is analyzing!

To practice, get posters and other sources about the USA, and be as creative as possible when annotating them.

Use the exact techniques taught in the English lessons. use PEE (Point, evidence, explain) and and other Acronyms.

A sophisticated answer will show that there is evidence for and against the discussion in question in the sources. A good general plan is:

Introduction: Outline your argument, summarise which sources support/go against argument.

First Section: Evidence from every source in support of question, plus own knowledge.

Second Section: Evidence from each source against the question, plus own knowledge

Conclusion: Make your own personal judgement clear with reference to evidence that supports your view. Above all, answer the question.

i know i hate them to! what do i do?  look at the bottom - see the date is was made etc and draw on the exam paper before do little annotations then you wont go off tangent
