I wrote the wrong question number in my answer booklet?

Helloo :)

I did the GCSE AQA English Literature exam on the 22nd May on the texts Of Mice and Men and An Inspector Calls, but on An Inspector Calls I wrote question "17" in the margin by accident. I actually answered question 18, and I'm really worried they either wont mark my paper or I will lose loads of marks. Has this ever happened to any of you? And do you think it will effect the marking/grading of my paper? Please help! Im so worried:((

Ok, first off dont panic :)

Then phone up your school or email your school's exam officer and say that you made put the wrong question number and they will change it for you.

I would assume even if the examiner got it that way they would see the error and mark it on bases of the question that you answered from but phone in to say anyway.
