If you get a doctors note and hand it into your head of examinations at your school they should sort you out for extra time or unlimited breaks or someone to help you read or somehting. :)
My friend handed heres in on the day before the exam so that shuld be fine
Also my other friend who was sick on the day of the exam but still did it handed in a note before his exam and got extra marks so it should be fine but the sooner the better

Ask your school! :) They will know, your examination office maybe, or individual teachers, but I think my friend had to get the testing thing :/ Just to check you're not lying :) x

I handed in a doctors note because of an arm injury and got 25% extra time, which is also what dyslexics get at my school. You just have to make sure a doctor can confirm it.

Get a note from your doctor- my sister had a problem with her wrist and couln't write properly cos she kept on having to stop so she went to the doctors got a note and now she gets extra time! Once you have a note give it in to your exam coordinater!!

hello :) well, definitely you should get extra time! my friend is dislexic to and  she handed in a note from the doctor and the doctor said that she could get extra time off to revise more. Also, they should be able to provide you with yellow paper (my friend can't read in white paper so they had to ask the exam board to provide her with yellow paper). BUt yes, you should really really get a note from the doctor explaining what you have. Hope this helps, and good luck for you exams :)

I would ask your teacher if there was anything they could do in an exam to allow that to happen, I'm sure there is in a situation like that, but they may need proof or something. Anyway, good luck in your exams, I'm sure you will do well:)

If it's on your records at school then you should get it anyway. One of my friends is dyslexic and she gets 25% extra time and a reader.

i've heard that it costs about 400 quid to get tested to see how much extra time you need... ouch. it's really tough but i think that if you can get it you should take it because you just don't know how much difference it could make to your grades. i guess the message is just try because it could be worth it.

source- family friend is a head of senco at a school in my area

tough luck you have to be tested go to school say what your problems are it takes ages to come through and you wont get extra time, in time for the exams i have the exact same problem and i have been told do it so that you have extra time for your alevels :) i hope this helps but you just ahve to go and get tested find out your degree and then wait because it takes ages as some people will just claim they have it when they dont just to get extra time so you have to go though the system
