Happens all the time.

1) Break your revision down into chunks - this takes longer but will help. By this I mean work for 20 minutes, take a break, work for 20 minutes take a break, Your breaks should only last a couple of minutes, so you don't get too distracted. At least that way when you feel yourself getting distracted, you know that you have a break coming up.

2) Maybe also have someone sitting with you, who will make you work. Sometimes, you feel you have to work because they are sitting there.

3) Use incentives. You know that you will get something at the end of it.

Hope this helps!

Try going to a local library to revise once or twice a week, this helps my sister in particular who gets really distracted at home. Getting out of the house allows you to feel like you're actually going out rather than being trapped in your room which motivates you more and frees you from distractions such as food, tv, laptop etc. at home. :)

If you struggle to revise, like me for instance as i have my GCSE exams on may the 2nd and i have in total 12 exams, go over all the tasks you have done in class per subject and listen to music to keep you motivated. After about 1 hour take a 15-30 mionute break to refresh your mind, maybe have a snack or even watch a bit of T.V. Oh yeah and keep away from facebook!!!

Trust this helps!!!:)

What is the thing that distracts you the most......well if it's family or friends let them know ....i need to revise!

but if it's food/t.v/facebook etc then you need to try hard yourself........how?

well i read in a text book once try imagining a box before you revise put all other non-revsion related thoughts and ideas in the boxc and close it.........keep it closed until it's break time ,at break time ,son't open 'the imaginary box' fully ,e.g.think about food only.

If this doesn't work try getting away from the distractions like going to a public library or a relatives house  for a few hours ,you'll be satisfied with yourself when you do some solid revision for a few hours ,without any big distractions.

I find the  last option works well ,i go to my aunts house or the library for a few hours .But try using the adult section of the library as the teens/kids area is quite loud and noisy .

I HOPE THIS HELPS ,AND I HOPE IT MAKES SENSE!:L
