Can any body help me with answering A2 level English Literature essays. For instance, things to avoid and its format as well as number of words

It is split up into paragraphs
You talk about form, structure and language
You analyse in detail, don't just use a quote for the sake of it!
Remember to write about at least one drama, novel and poem.
Write loads on just one quote

Now i agree with Alice, but I will just reassure you, that writing in depth about ONE quote, is DEFINITELY what they look for. This close analysis is what boosts marks, and is the first thing they told us to include when I started my A-Level Course in English Lit.
Make sure you pick out specific words from the quote you chose, and analyse the author's use of language, grammar, and possibly intention.
