It hards to say what to do as you havent specified enough information

say they give you an equation of a graph e.g- y=2x-3

we know -3 is the y-intercept so it will cut the y axis at -3

the best way i would say is to do a table of values

so on the first row you have x ( so like term number -4to4)

the second row will be 2x ( so times x by 2)

third row will be -3 , so write -3 in all boxes

add all the values together and that will give you the axis value for y

plot x and why on the graph, and you should have a straight line!
