how many hours should i be doing for work experience per day?

I have a work placement at the opticians, and the day is from half nine to half five.

Is this too long to be doing work experience?

I dont want to work the whole day, but im only there for five days, so im thinking, might as well?

would it be feasible to suggest only doing itup until a certain point

i.e. which of these times is better, half nine to 2 pm, or to 3 pm, or to 4pm?

Im thinking till 3 is a good compromise but im not sure

help?

If that's what they say the work experience is then I would do it - is it for a particular career in mind or are you just doing it for the school?

i want to do medecin later on, but im just trying to get a feel of different careers. Our school has stopped arranging it so thats a bummer, but i guess iit helps us to be less reliant on someone arranging everything for you

I would do the full day - if you're unsure then it will give you a taste of what kind of hours you will have to work if you want to be e.g. an optician. If you can't handle the long hours, then maybe you should look at a different career. And 9 till 5 isn't that bad if you're interested in the profession and they keep you busy.
