Jason opened an account at Maths Watch Bank

Maths Watch Bank's interest rate was 4%

After one year, the bank paid him interest

The total amount  in his account was then £1976

Work out the amount with which Jason opened his account

His account now has 104% of the original money and you need to find 100%

So I would divide the money by 104 to get 1% and then multiply it by 100 to get 100% and the original amount.

Hope this helps :D

104% = £1976

1% = 1976/104

100% = x ^ by 100 = £1900
