How do you critcise points on social groups and religious partipation?
For example when you give reassons for why Ethnic minorities, women, older people or working class people participate more in religion what points can you use to criticise the arguments given for AO2 points??
Thanks for any help :)

Totally agree I've got a load of stuff on the patterns but don't really have any AO2. I don't know if any one else has any ideas but what I'd do is ... e.g. with women and religion say you were talking about it being patriarchal and they're oppressed due to no being priests etc... the A02 could be that liberal feminists say its getting more equal or the argument that Muslim women prefer to wear the hi jab as liberation from unwanted eyes/ attention from males which could be degrading? And maybe talk about the second generation being less religious due to being socialised into western culture so are less influenced by their religious values etc.?
And with the other social groups there's no real evaluative points but i guess you could just argue against the statements you've already made or something e.g. older people are seen as religious because... socialised etc and then go on to say however this isn't the case with the younger generation who are steering away from traditional religions and more likely to join a sect because... less responsibilities.. anomie etc. Not really sure- but maybe that could work.
Also one to use for the classes when you say about working class being more religious because of theodicy of disprividege or whatever this can be citicised since in reality church goers have been found to be the majority higher classes. Then maybe say something about why higher classes are more religious such as mobility and wanting to integrate into the new community.
Don't know if this makes any sense or help to you but it's all i can think of for your question(:
