Find the area of all 6 sides (multiplying the length and width), then add them together to get the total surface area.

example- if a square has the length of 5 cm and a height of 5 cm, you do 5x5=25 and then you times this by 6 as a cube has 6 faces

There are 6 sides of equal length in a cuboid, so the surface area is 6x to the power 2, where x is the length of one side.
