Hey I'm doing WJEC Language paper 2 tomorrow too and honestly I need an A. The paper is similar to paper one for the A questions as you need to show the examiner you can take information and infer it regarding a question. It's pretty much the same as the first paper perhaps easier. To help you analyse the texts use : GAP LIST - GENRE/AUDIENCE/PURPOSE  LANGUAGE/IMAGERY/STYLE/TONE .

The last question will ask you to compare the two texts together so make sure you've highlighted key points from both texts to make it easier! The A* will require you to be coherent and organise your comparisons clearly. Just follow the bullet points they provide with simple points that contrast/compare using PEE.

The B section is what i'm fearing.. As Beth has said learn formal and informal techniques! This is so important because it will be either one! Reading articles and reviews helps a lot. Learn how to ARGUE/PERSUADE/EXPLAIN you can be asked any of these. Analyse/Review/Comment is the worst...they'll provide a topic and ask you to do either one of those three. Just learn them there very simple and can be found in the books. Analyse is taking considerations of the problem but not having an opinion. Review is providing the information and linking it with your opinion. Comment is a personal judgement on the topic.

Really hope this helps and look forward to talking to you tomorrow! :)

Im doing Analsye, review comment tomorrow but for aqa.

THE KEY TO SUCESS IS A BALANCED ESSAY, WHETHER ITS A LETTER, ARTICLE OR SPEECH WHATEVER YOURE ASKED TO DO YOU MUST MAKE IT BALANCED. THERE IS NO POINT WRITING AN ARGUEMENT FOR AN ANALYSIS!

HERE IS A GOOD STRUCTURE:

INTRO

COUNTER PT 1

COUNTER POINT 2

COUNTER POINT 3

Conclusion

KEEP IT BALANCED!!!!
