So basically, I need to try and improve my essay writing technique. My teacher says that I provide too much of a narrative; how can I ensure that I don't do this on the day of the exam? I'm aware of the PEEL technique, but how do I implement it properly?
start with a topic sentence and state the main point of the paragraph. then with each point you make use supporting evidence and link each point to the question. it helps if you plan out your paragraphs by writing your topic sentence first then finding supporting evidence. i used to draw up plans for all the possible exam questions so when it came to the day i was prepared.
structure also helps in the way that you use the pint posed by the question first, and then state any counter arguements later on in seperate paragraphs.
