 Layan<3 Thank you! :)

Spanish is alright, I personally think it's a lot easier than French or Italian ;)I only started learning it when I started year 10, with no previous experience with the language. I think it was a good choice, and I got into it. I think you'll find it fine, providing that you like languages and have the interest in Spanish. You shouldn't just rely on what you learn at school. I tried to practice what I learnt outside school, (if you want to practice with native speakers go on www.livemocha.com) and listened to Spanish music and tried to watch some simple videos. If you're interested you should enjoy it and get good grades in it. It's the same with any language I think. It's not enough to just revise- you should practice and try to get as natural with it as you can.

Hope this helps! :)

I found spanish easy, the coursework is easier than the exams but if you get a good coursework grade then you have less presure in the exams, it does help to have a good teacher, I loved studying it, I'm not taking it for A level but I am still learning new vocab, and I still have an interest so i'm going to carry on speaking it and learning it myself. I did better in the listening exam than the reading but my firend was the other way round so it depends on what you find easier. good luck.

Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch Thanks very much, you too! I'm really not sure, I got a C on the mock and somehow managed to pull it out of the bag for the real thing. I just remember I didn't try and be clever or anything, I just kept it all very simple. Seemed to work! :D well done on your B, good work on getting it even with all the controversy over grade boundaries! Yeahh it was much better than I thought it would be. My teacher told me they changed the GCSE so that there's less emphasis on algebra etc and more on problem solving and stuff that's actually useful. So that probably helped us out :)

Also, try and look at spanish out of school, read article in spanish online, you can translate some webpages into spanish, this helps you learn new words, when speaking try and translate what you are saying into spanish. I am a big fan of the spanish tennis player rafael nadal and I read his facebook page in spanish then in english and that has helped too, just try and learn as much vocab as you can.

Nick wow, well done, how did you manage to get an A* in english I was so happy i got a b in that, and I was surprised too that i got an a for maths, i guess the exam wasn't as hard as i thought it was.

yeah I thought that the new exam style would make it harder, but I think it was actually easier and as for english, my english teacher thought could have got an A if they didn't mess the grade boundries round, but I'm more than happy with a B, that's all I needed to do english lang and lit for a level so I'm happy, especially when I found out that so many people found it hard to get C in english. It's wrong how they mess with peoples futures like that, they don't seem to care.
