How did the AQA English Lit. exam go for people?? the one that took place today :?

Showing 76 to 92 of 92

Hi I found it ok today, I think i wrote the right kind of stuff. Mine was on Mister Pip and Martyn Pig. I've got the poetry exam on thursday along with a Physics exam, fun day! I'm doing the character and voice section of the anthology.

I did the WJEC Lit Exam today about Of Mice and Men and unseen poetry. The Of mice and men questions were about Candy (an extract) and (either) a) How lennie is presented or b) How strengths and weaknesses are presented by steinbeck. The OMAM questions were good overall. With the first poem, i enjoyed it and thought it was pretty well written. The second poem on the other hand was rubbish, and this thought was shared with most of the people i knew that did the exam.

I did To Kill a Mockingbird and The Crucible and I thought the questions were reasonable although I feel as though I didn't write enough for the Mockingbird question. For Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch I also have an english and physics exam on thursday!

I did The Crucible and Of Mice and Men. I actually loved the exam it was so easy and everything i revised came up like Giles Corey and how women were presented.

But now that i think of it, it was a little to easy what if the grade bounderies are really high or do they stay the same no matter what the exam is?

oh my god....me toooooooooo!!!!!! as in i am doing the relationships section and it will probably be horrible :/

Don't worry guys - just have enough background knowledge on each poem and focus in depth on about 6 poems and you'll be fine! I have it too - good luck to us all! ***

I found the question for An Inspector Calls rather hard, number 17, as I wasn't sure what way to answer it. I also did OMAM and I found them to be easier than AIC, however still very hard! How are you all preparing for the exam on Thursday? I'm just reading over the poems and my notes and hoping that'll help!

If people generally do well then they do change the grade boundaries, same if people do badly.

I'm also reading over the poems and my notes! I also think it's good to answer past papers for the unseen poem to get practise with annotations and timing ...

Ok thank you, I will do that!

Would people find it helpful if I posted up the notes that I have? Yesterday I put up some stuff on OMAM which people found helpful

Glad it worked out for you! :D

I wish it was the same for me - I did the Crucible and TKAM and the questions were in so much depth and asking for so much - for TKAM, it was like answering four questions, not two!!
