How did everyone find their English Literature AS exam today? (15th May)

  • 0 votes

I was doing OCR, but I think AQA was also happening today!

I've been studying Yeats and Jane Eyre, and I answered a question on love for Jane Eyre: 'Above all, Jane Eyre is a love story'

I'd be interested to know how people found it :)
Oh, and good luck to everyone for their results <3

Hi all. I'm one of the moderators here on GetRevising. I hope you're all finding the site to be useful and that the exam season is going well for you. However, I have to post here to make an important announcement.

You may not be aware of this, but Edexcel, CIE, STEP and IB exams are taken across the world. This means that people in one country might have finished an exam that hasn't even started somewhere else. In order to make the exams as fair as possible (and to discourage cheating), I'd ask you not to make ANY posts about today's Edexcel AS English literature exam until after 04:30am GMT tomorrow (17th May). After this time the exam will have been sat across the world and you will be free to discuss it.

You are welcome to freely discuss the AQA and OCR exams from today because these are only sat in the UK so are not subject to censorship from the exam boards.

I hope the exams went well for all of you who have taken them! Thank you for helping us to regulate exam discussion on Get Revising :)

Ours was horrible. The poetry question was on how anti-war our studied selection was so I used "Rain" by Edward Thomas, "Men Who March Away" by Thomas Hardy and "They" by Sassoon. And our unseen was an interview which I comapred to Sassoon's autobiography "Memoirs of an Infantry Officer" along with his "Glory of Women" and the play "The Accrington Pals" and May Wedderburn Cannan's "Rouen"....did anyone else do this exam too?? Let me know what you thought if you did :) x

I sat the WJEC exam doing Duffy about oppression and MJ attitudes towards women- think it went mostly ok hopefully although I was a little thin on the context for the play
