I have my GCSE coming up REALLY soon and i really need some help from someone willing. Of course if you also need help with the same topic, that'll be limitless for you, so that would hopefully be really helpful for the both of us! :)

Thank you!! :)

It's a while since I done GCSE History, and I found the Cold War really difficult, I can give you some advice on how I would revise it (just because I don't have my notes anymore, else I would send them).

  • Write down all of the events you need to know in chronological order on a piece of A3 paper and stick them on your wall.
  • Each week tick a certain amount of that you're going to go through: for example the first three events.
  • Write them out in detail to begin in your own words, with all the key information you need; then write them out again with a little less detail, then try and draw them into a mind map, table and come up with rhymes to remember things by or little associations.
  • If there is any event you're really struggling with, focus on it for one day; on little post-it notes, stick up basic pieces of information around your house about the event, when you walk past it; you have to read the note to yourself or out loud; by the end of 1 or 2 days, you will know it off by heart.

Any other help, you can always contact me :-) - If this makes you feel any better, I done exactly this and got an A in my exam. Good luck!

Which bits do you find particularly difficult?
I did my exam for it in January, and got an A* :)
