Step 1-do your research!

Find out what subjects are required for you to become a pharmacist or A&E nurse. Find out what you would need to do after college to get where you want to be too, as this can sometimes determine what you choose at college now.

Step 2-choose the subjects that you enjoy!

Choose subjects that you not only need, but that you enjoy too! These should be the same sort of subjects, otherwise you are aiming for the wrong careers (sorry to put it bluntly). If you don't choose the subjects that you enjoy, you will be in for 2 years (or however many years that you will be at college for) of stress and hell! And that wont get you anywhere in life. If anything, it will put you off your chosen career path that you have at the moment.

No one can tell you straight what subjects to pick. It has to be your choice! At my college and most other colleges too, when you choose a subject, you either have to love it or learn to love it! And if you don't, you are told to not even bother trying!

Good Luck in whatever you decide to do :)

I think Chemistry and Biology would be important for Pharmacy and Nursing and Maths is probably useful. But as Ella said look at Uni websites to find out what subjects they want and at what grades as the subjects they require can often be different to what you originally think.

I definately agree with Ella but here is some more advice:

According to the offical university ranking website the top university to go to, to study pharmacy is nottingham. I have looked at the entry requirements of the university of nottingham and they require chemistry and one other science A level these include biology, maths or physics.

However, I would talk to somebody who is studying pharmacy at university and ask them which a levels would be most useful.

Furthermore, to get into the university of nottingham you need at least AAB grades therefore reiterating what Ella said you will not get the grades unless you enjoy the sybjects!!

You should look at the other universities as they may have slightly different requirements

Hope this helps, would be interesting to know what your final choice is :)
