Help me please!

So, I took my art exam the other day, and it all went to plan, but I feel like my work is much smaller compared to everyone elses. I work in a lot of detail, so I figured that if I worked too big I'd run out of time, so I only worked in A3, using pencil crayon. My coursework is also A3 pencil crayon.
I've been told that this doesn't matter, but everyone else's work seems so much bigger! And I'm worried that they'll mark me down for using the same medium twice. Does this matter?
Also, I'm expected A*, and I'm taking Fine Art for A level. Other schools seem to have way better art departments, and they'll go into college prepared, whereas I don't think I will. My art teacher passed away before I finished the course, sadly, so we've had a couple of changes of teachers, and they all told us different things. I don't feel ready for college, and I'm worried I'll struggle. Art is all I want to do, yet I know I'll struggle to get a career in it, when pupil's from other schools seem to be working at a much higher level that me. Have you got any advice for college, or getting a career in art for that matter?
Thank you, this has been playing on my mind for ages, feels good to get it all out!

Dont worry about size: thats not really importent. anyway, if yours is smaller than everuones elses it will make it stand out more because it is different!
For a career in art:
if you just want to be an artist(like me xD) then do what you love, and thats that. if you want to be an illustrator, then what you've been doing sounds fine- particularly the fine detail part of it. the same is you want to go into graphic novelling.
basicall, and im sorry it is so vague, the best advice i can give is just always do what you love and feels right.
