im in year 8
When I was in yr 8 I used to read my exercise book and revision guide (if you have one).
I would put a timer on and revise until the timer when off so that I made sure I did enough revision.
You could also highlight your work, make notes and flashcards.
Break down each subject into sections.
Yeah, i used to just read over my notes and made sure i knew all the key points.
Do that and you should be fine
1.) First of all, you have to understand what you are learning. If you don't understand something then ask your teacher or go and Google it or something...Or ask a question on here :o)
2.) Make notes, but don't write something down if you don't know what it means. Instead, go and research it.
3.) Have a go at some past paper questions, but don't worry if you don't get top marks. At least you know what you don't know and where you went wrong.
4.) Make more notes.
5.) Do more past paper questions.
I used this technique for my GCSE Physics P2 mock, and I got an A!
Good Luck with your exams.. Fingers crossed we'll both get A*s xD
