Make sure you look neat and tidy. I know that sounds superficial but making a good first impression is important and it will make you look like you are taking the position seriously.

Just relax. Umm.. ( oh avoid that word!) and make sure you give answers that make sense rather than getting nervous babbling on about any old rubbish.. Having said that I answered the question "What would you like to do to make a difference at the school? with "Err more chocolate in the vending machines" and then went.. "Oh I mean... Organise meetings between the prefect team weekly?" and I still managed to land myself with a prefectship so I wouldnt worry too much. Obviously I can't be sure but Im guessing the interviewer will know who you are already and will be more like a bit of chitchat about your aspirations etc.

Oh and by the way... Common misconception... If you are nervous... The same theatre trick of imagining the person/audience in the underwear naked... It does not work... Just means you spend half the time trying really really hard to get the image of some fat wrinkly teacher in granny pants out your head! To be avoided at all costs! I am scarred to say the least!!

make sure your engaged and interested to be there, act calm and if your struggling for answers, look like your thinking of an answer by looking at a focal point in the room then away. Dont stare at them with a blank expression or use the terms "umm" and  "ahh" a lot.

Good Luck!

It is of PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE to keep calm. Listen to the questions carefully.

Try and nod your head after the interviewer finishes each sentence, this shows respect and understanding. Make sure you state your name and ask smart questions back.

The questions that the interviewer asks usually lie along the lines of why would you want to be prefect and what changes are you aspiring to accomplish?

You reply with teacher's thoughts of things, not the students!

If you don't know the teacher's point of view about the school, you speak about how the pupils behavior and other factors will benefit your presence. Claim you have many friends that will listen to you and don't forget to say your a friendly person who has hobbies (list them)

lastly, give a sense of leadership, talk about your past as a leader.

you should do fine :)
