how did curzon's partition of bengal help to alienate british rule in india

IT raised political awareness of how the British were trying to undermine the Indians and keep them ignorant and blind. Hence the partition which divided the Muslims and Hindus made people reaise what Britain was doing and therefore the British began to be alienated. Though, this is not the only reson and in my opinion not a strong reason as there were many other political, social and economical factors which prompted the British alienation.
