HELLPPPP URGENT PLZZZZZZ :/

Calculate the length of the sides of the triangle a,b,c hence determine whether or not the triangle is right angled.

part a)

a 0,0

b 0,6

c 4,3

i am majorly confused on this... ;/ any help would be greatly appreciated please show method... thanksxx

you need to find the distances between the 3 points, using the formula

AB^2= (difference in x)^2+ (difference in y)^2

therefore: 

AB^2= (0-0)^2 + (6-0)^2 

AB^2= 36

AB= 6

AC^2= (4-0)^2 + (3-0)^2 

AC^2= 16+9

AC^2=25

AC=5

BC^2= (4-0)^2 + (3-6)^2

BC^2= 14+ 9

BC^2= 23

BC= 4.8 

Therefore this triangle isn't a right angled triangle because it doesn't fit the Pythagoras 

6^2=36

5^2+4.8^2=48.04

They;re not equal :)
