Some people in my friends tutor are getting interviews for college/sixth form.
Her tutor has told them what kinds of questions they might ask.
I thought they would be simple questions like, what do you do outside of school or that sort of thing. But my friend said they might ask 'who inspires you?'...

So if you have already/had your before, what kind of questions might they ask?

Thanks :)

ive had one interview so far, still got loads before..

first of all some colleges are not as frightening with interview questions they just want to help you choose the best subejcts and find out more about you while other colleges/sixth form like my school might murder with interview questions .. but don't stress over it too much..

these are some questions they asked me ...

1) why do you want to do the subjects you have chosen ? what are your target / predicted grades in those subjects ?

2) what career path are you thinking of in the future ?

3) what sort of things have you done outside school ?

4) why did you choose this college ?

5) describe yourself in three words

And one things my teacher said you should, is if they ask you is that your first choice, say yes whether its true or not coz otherwise they will have second thoughts in giving you a place..

good luck !! and seriously don't stress or panic over it..

i had one today, it was not bad as expected

I've never had an interview, but a friend of mine did and they said they often ask questions about the subjects you're choosing to take - so make sure you have a good knowledge of the subjects (especially if they're not ones you take for GCSE).

My friend also told me that I could be asked 'How have I used my initiative before?'

I thought that was a really weird question to ask but...

ur welcome :)

that sounds like a question they will ask more like at a job interview, to see how you solve problems and your thiking skills ;) they might ask that but i dont think so, it will be more related to do with your a-level subjects and about school / college

I have started college this year and was having my interviews last year. I was also worried about the questions they were going to ask me but don't worry! They asked about what we did in our spare time, our plans for the future and stuff but mostly it was a discussion of whether the subjects we'd chosen were suitable. It's very relaxed, just show enthusiasm - they care most about what grades you're going to get! Good Luck! :)
