has anyone got any tips on how to revise gcse history?

i'm doing the course with the american west and medicine through time(schools history project) but there is so much stuff!! Anyone got any good revision tips, it would be really helpful, thanks.

You could ask your teacher if you could borrow a book or something. I don't know whether you've seen this website, but there is stuff about american west and medicine:) Hope it helps you! Good luck anyway:D

Write down key points, such as dates on sticky notes and just place them up around your house/bedroom so that you read them when you walk in or your trying to accompilsh something hope this helps :)

Im doing medicine through time, and to help me I made notes on all the time periods, and did exam questions. Understand the mark scheme, and look for what the examiners want for the high marks :) the mark scheme has helped me alot, i have resources on medicine through time, as well as sample answers from past questions :) hope that helps x good luck! :)

If you make revison cards or use other peoples on here and then do wordsearches and stuff to help you remember names, is your exam on Tuesday? x

Use colourful paper and highlighters to make spider diagrams. You could also make a timeline to memorise specific dates and also use eunomics to remember information easier.

There's a few resources telling you how to answer paper 2 questions on here. You need to look at sources and for the higher grades you need to remember the info, to put the source into context, e.g Nightingale's school of Nursing was set up in 1859 so if the hospital looks like it's in good condition it is likely to be after this time.
