george has 8.50m of wood. he needs 2.65m to make an owl box and 1.45m to make a robin box. he wants to make at least one owl box. investigate how many of each box he could make to leave the least waste.

Hey! Ok so in your question it specifies that he only wishes to produce 1 owl box. so then work off that.

I got the answer of making 1 owl box and 4 robin boxes with a wast of 0.05m of wood.

I only used addition and subtraction. 2.65 + 1.45 = 4.1. After that i continued to add 1.45m of wood onto that until i reached 8.45m
