This is really random, but I would love to know what everyone's fave book is or type of book. I'm a bit of a book geek :o)
me too, I read a wide range of books, i love autobiographys, and also historical fiction books, also i used to be into the roman mysteries series by caroline lawrence, a few years ago they did a cbbc series based on them, although I prefer the books.
ALL THE DISCWORLD!
Oh yeah, I think I remember seeing that on tv :) I've always been soo bad at history, but it's always been interesting to me. I loved learning about it at primark school. Especially the ancient egyptians & Blitzcrank My friend loves those books :) I've never read them, but they seem cool
Beanie96 this has reminded me of those roman mysteries books, and I've started reading them again, there's 17 so it should keep me busy :)
have you ever read them?
Noo, I never have, they seem interesting though
they are, but you have to read the whole series 2 or 3 times to understand it properly
Ahh, I can see how it would be a little complicated
hey Beanie96 :) high five ! be proud to love books ;)
i love reading HONOUR by Elif Shafak.. a bit complicated but really interesting..
also the book ALMOST TRUE by Keren David..
n then the all time well known Khaled Hosseini books.. kite runner n a thousand splendind suns :)
♥ Secret ♥ Aha highfives ^.^ Ooo, they sound intriguing, would love to know what they're about...I've heard of Khaled Hosseini before. Might get some of the books off ebay if I can :D
Beanie96 hi, just like to say I love reading horrible histories books too and i love the tv series (especially cause it's got mathew baynton in it XD)
I may also get ''Your Life Begins Each Morning'' it's like a philosophy book. You have to read a page each day & it has the date at the top so you MUST start on the date for e.g. today is the 15th of august, so you would find that page & read what it has to say :')
Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch I remember reading the horrible history books :D We had to do our own version back in primary school, haha
yeah, I was so bored today so I started to look at some stuff under my bed and I came across a box set of horrible histories books so I started reading them, thats all I've been doing this afternoon, but I do still really enjoy them.
Must be different reading it now. I always find it weird to read books I used to love when I was younger because they're always soo thin & nothing like what I would read now a days. I'm really into romantic books & novels atmm
yeah it is but, they are still good to read, and that roman mysteries series I was talking about, book 16 and 17 (although it happens throughout the series) is really sweet and perhaps romantic between 2 characters, those 2 are my favourite books in the series and I still want to know what happens after book 17 but there isn't a book 18 so i just have to imagine what would happen, I love books which allow you to think for ages what happens next.
Yeahh, I love those types of books as well. I also love the feeling I get once I read an awesome book. But I hate it when a really bad movie version is made, but it makes you realise how good the books actually are! Ohh, I never knew they had romance in themm
They do a bit, not really in the first 10 or so books but after that there is especially in books 16 and 17, it's subtle between 2 characters throughout the series but heats up at the end of book 17 (they get married)
Ooohh, right. I used to think the books were purely based on facts & is all 100% true. You nervous about results?
I'm mixed, somedays I feel confident others I'm very nervous, most subjects I think I did well on, but english I'm worried about, I messed up timing in the exam, what I wrote I think was good but I don't know if I wrote enough, my coursework is b+ which is 60%, but I need at least a B overall to do it for A levels, and I'm worried my exam will mean that I don't get a B. so yes, I'm worried about english.
Sorry to intrude on this topic, but I thought I'd mention my favourite book, I'm more of a fan of fiction books as it gives me a chance to explore my imagination, the recent book which I found amazing was the mistborn trilogy by brandon sanderson, not sure if you've heard of it, but it's really good and it gives a wider context to overthrowing governments etc.
Also I think you'll have done great in the exam, if your coursework was a B+ that should mean your writing is sufficient enough to get you well into a B :) Also if you're doing it for A level you must like it so you should be good at it!
Sohail Thanks, I'm usually good at it, but it was down to the timing I spent to much time on the first 2 or 3 questions.
Sohail Ooo, seems good :) I'm doing pride & prejudice & Frankenstein for my english a levels, I l also love fiction too & Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch same here, I also messed up the timing for English & my c/w is A/B so I'm not too worried, I also bot B+ on my mock exam, but I still feel like I didn't do so well
