Eutrophication

LO- Look at how eutrophication occurs and the problems associated with it

1) The farmer puts fertiliser (Nitrate) on to his crops

2) When it rains some of the fertiliser escapes into the lake and the algae starts to grow

3) Plants underneath can't grow because the algae on the surface of the lake blocks out the sun and the plants die

4) Microbes will break down…
