Eutrophication?

Just wondering if this is deffinatly in B3 AQA biology GCSE?

Also, for the heamoglobin part of the course do we need to know the stuff about polypeptide chains and something about alpha and beta? Or do we not need to learn in that much detail?

Thanks :) :)

hiiiya, i dont think eutrophication is in the syallabus! and no we only need to know that haemoglobin is a red pigment in red blood cells and carries oxygen!...and all the stuff about no nucleus so more room for haemoglobin to carry more oxygen and all that blabble...

oh and oxygen + haemoglobin -> oxyhaemoglobin (a reaction which takes place when they pick up oxygen and then in organs oxyhaemoglobin spilts up to oxygen + haemoglobin when needed!)..you probably know that already;)

hope this is helpful!

Heeeyyya!

I was just going through the specification from the AQA website and it said nothing about eutrphication but my teacher spent a lesson teaching us it??

He also starting teaching us stuff about polypeptide chains or something and I was just thinking that this can't be in GCSE??

And thankyou! I'm g;ad I dont have to bother learning it then :)

my teacher hasnt mentioned eutrophication, which section is it in as we havent been taught section B yet!!!

maybe he's doing it so you have a better understanding and if you can do it in more detail the simple stuff will seem easy?! yeah i havent seen it in the spec! its better to know more than less though:')

haha yeah it's okay:***

If you study module 7 science (triple science) then you do need to know about eutrophication. Otherwise, no :)
