Did anyone else not get what they expected in dance AQA GCSE results? Or is it just me and my school/class?!

Showing 1 to 7 of 7

So I was predicted a B in my dance gcse and my teacher marked my work and guaranteed all of us that we all got our target grades on the dances we performed for her and the moderator- i.e the ones she also marked. Then when everyone got their results today there were F's E's D's- I got a D in 3 units and an A in 1 making my overall grade a C....now please excuse me for being confused but what the hell happened...even the A* students barely got B's!! Help Please?!?

Few things:

  • Dance isn't a subject
  • You're obviously **** at it
  • GCSE dance is the equivalent of the dole - enjoy being homeless.

nice post lewis but I'd like to expand on that

  • anyone that does dance at gcse doesn't deserve an education
  • you probably have the intellectual capacity of a medium sized cabbage
  • if you think dance qualifies as a proper subject you shouldnt be allowed within one mile of any educational facility

Hey Zoyya, Dance has a very strict guidlines for its mark sceme. I have taken it at college and although its a great subject, there are about 3 marks between a B and a C so you may have simply been so close to getting it. What's more is that they are so specific in what they want, if you dont put one work then sometimes you dont get the mark at all.

Lewis  and Paul you are clearly stupid. I have taken dance at college and have got A's in maths and history at college. So either you have no idea about what you are talking about, or you are destined for the job centre.

Dance is about fitness and style, you two clearly are pretty pathetic. For example, what is you opinion on art? Or is that also for people with a cabbage brain? Basicly you are both **** at life if you have those pathetic opinions.

Oh my goodness, this is such a late reply, I didn't even realise someone had replied. But yes thankyou, that does make me feel slightly better, I never realised the grade boundaries were so close. I checked and I was really close to a B anyway! But it didn't really matter, I wasn't going to continue on with it in sixth form so its okay! But once again thankyou for the reply and sorry for the late reply back.

(And to the silly people who don't consider dance to be a subject. Please leave and get a life, clearly you need one if you are stalking 'dance questions' and feeling the need to reply to year old posts.)
