I need to write an essay on 'The Color Purple' and 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and was wondering if anyone else was doing this and whether I could look at theirs to get some inspiration.

I've read the books sooooooooooo many times, and I just cannot do it, I think it is down to me not being able to want to bother, please someone help me, just so I can get some ideas on what I need to write..

This is the AS level and for the Struggle for Identity Unit BTW!

How does Williams present the idea that women in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' are caught between the old and the new South? Compare how Walker examines this entrapment in her novel 'The Color Purple'. To what extent do you agree with the view that Williams' view of entrapment is far more bleak and nihilistic than Walker's?
