To get rid of the temptation on the computer, keep it turned on so that you can look something up if you need to, but turn the screen off as soon as you are done so you don't get distracted!

It works for me :D

Also, make sure you keep yourself hydrated and well fed - I find that I get hungrier and thirstier when revising :S (squash is good because it give you energy as well :D)

Hope this helps :D

Split your day up as if it were a school day. Start at the time that your first lesson begins, then change subjects when it would be time for your second lesson. Allow yourself 5 minutes at lesson change, and be sure to take a break (same amount of time as usual) and lunch. Finish at the usual end of the school day, e.g 3.00pm, and that leaves you with your evening to enjoy as you wish. If you did this (approx. 5-6 hours) every day in the school holidays, then you will be successful in no time!

Also, buy yourself a packet of biscuits etc and after each revision session, eat ONE. The biscuit becomes your prize AFTER your work. At the end of the day, if there are a few biscuits left, treat yourself by eating them. Of course you could use a square of chocolate for every 30 mins of revision, or a haribo or something else you like.

Hope this helps     :)

I know it sounds odd but my friend suggested revising in the bathroom- no distractions in there... :)

Exactly the same with me. I often find myself wasting my days on the computer (Facebook, youtube etc.) A good tip is to set yourself a timetable. So for example when you get home, 1 hours maths revision then 1 hours English revision. After you have done this you can reward yourself by going on the computer.

You can also try (easier if you have a laptop) to take your computer out of your room or revise in a different room. One thing I find that doesn't work is having no internet or computer for the day or something. If I cannot do something fun afterwards I find myself unmotivated to revise.
