I've got some ideas if certain ones come up, do these sound okay?-

To His Coy Mistress- Hour

Hour- Sonnet 116

Sonnet 116- Hour

Quickdraw- Hour

Praise Song for My Mother- Nettles

Nettles- Manhunt

Manhunt- Nettles

They're the only ones i've got. does anyone else have better comparisons? :) thanks

I agree with 'To his coy mistress vs Hour'

I think I would compare 'Praise song to my mother' to 'Harmonium' as they are both about parents and i can compare the difference in the tone etc...

'Quickdraw' is a bit more confusing. It has an extended metaphor of guns and westerns so I might compare it to either 'Manhunt' or 'Nettles'. Probably 'Manhunt' as it is the same kind of love.

Sonnet 116 can be compared with 'To His Coy Mistress' if you want to point out differences but the best one will be 'Hour'.

At least, thats what I think... Good luck for your exam :)

I don't want to dishearten you but you have to read the question so even if two go together really well they might go together because of their use of imagery but the question is about father and son relationships. So don't ramble off of the question and start talking mainly about imagery when you really need to be talking about father and son relationships.

Good luck today :)
