and ive got loadssssss of revision, loads but cant memorise it all :(

Posted: 17-06-12 19:16 by Dilpesh

yeah i am doing the same stuff as you xD ***

i dont want to memorise all this...its boring...most of it is common sense...but human geography is generally boring!! :/ i liked physical gepgraphy better...it was much more interesting...dont u think so?? or do u prefer human???

lool im in year 9 sitting my first ever exam tommorow, :( i dont know how to revise and how to memories it all lool!,

Posted: 17-06-12 19:19 by Dilpesh

awww...you are in year 9 and doing geography gcse exam?? wow...

for geography revision...first i read through everything...and try to understand why everything happens...i mean...why do people want to visit new places...so they get to experience new things, etc.

why does urbanisation take place...because towns and cities have more jobs and money...sanitation, water...food...education...and stuff like that...

so when u learn a new topic...make questions related to it either in ur head or write them doan...and once u have read all ur notes...see whether u can answer these questions...

the main thing in geography is to explain ur points...always explain...just stating different facts isnt going to get u all the marks...like...how is the population affected by urbanisation?

u have to say rural to urban migration...explain what it is...and how it affects the rate of urbanisation...then give the second reason of incresed natural increase...

do you get me?? am i even helping???

I've got population, urbanisation, and development. I'm just reading through all my case studies.

same with me now xD ***

Posted: 17-06-12 19:42 by Namita

Thanks for the support guys, ive been revising for a long time now im just going to watch the portugal vs holland :), okay how do i revise case studies?, whats the grade boundaries for this paper?

Posted: 17-06-12 19:45 by Dilpesh

u dont know the grade boundaries...but lets say 90% and above for A*...thats usually a good guess xD ***

for case studies...u should get the main gist of it...and the number u can round off...as long as u the content...u should be fine...but always put some figures into the answer xD *** and if the question says u may use a case study...use one...u dont want to risk losing marks xD ***

Posted: 17-06-12 19:47 by Namita

okay :), how do i revise case studies?

Posted: 17-06-12 19:58 by Dilpesh

case studies...read them...and try to understand what u would expect to happen...and so u can think of facts urself...learn some figures...best thing is to keep reading them xD xxxx

ive scattered everything on my bed lool

Posted: 17-06-12 20:03 by Dilpesh

ha ha...i did that last year for physical...and i learnt everything...seriously...all the figures and dates...everything...and the most stupidest of all case studies came up in the exam...i was probably the most disappointed person out of that exam hall in the whole world! xD ***

but now i am learning everything...just reading it again and again... xD ** and its not too bad :P

Posted: 17-06-12 20:06 by Namita

Posted: 17-06-12 20:09 by Dilpesh
