An Inspector Calls exam tomorrow?!

  • 0 votes

Im sitting the Inspector calls exam tomorrow and my english teacher has already explained to me that you chose either the context question or another, and i already know im going to pick the context as the passage that you have to talk about is right there in front of you.

The only thing im worried about is that the exam is only 45 mins long and i feel that i need way longer! i've read all my notes and done revision from here, but im not sure what things about the context i should talk about, if that makes sense. And also how many paragraphs do you think i should write for a 45 min exam :s?

Any other tips are also welcome, thank you in advance.

Im doing An Inspector Calls aswell! Its a short play but quite tough! Go over the dramatic techniques that make the play the play. I.e. dramtic irony, themes on young and old and make sure you know a bit about the background like the titanic and the dates of the world wars, everything that Mr Birling says wont happen!

Good luck!

I'm also doing it but for me i split my time up differently to ellie - i spent max 4 mins or so planning, 40 minutes writing and a minute to quickly check lol, i have a feeling that social class and a character analysis of mrs birling or mr birling will come up, dont ask why i just feel it lol
