Critically evaluate the use of cotton towelling for a childrens dressing gown

  • Absorbent
  • Easy to care for - dries very quickly when washed
  • Good crease resistance - no need to iron, which could take up time
  • The cotton towelling is soft against the skin
  • Insulating - the loops in the weave trap air
  • Terry toweling weave is hard wearing and resistant to snags - good for children

  • Cotton can be highly flammable - therefore dangerous for childrens clothing
  • Wouldn't be as comfortable as polyester satin or fleece to wear

Hope this helps
