        • THE EMERGEN QUOTA ACT 1921- the is act set a limit of 357000 immigrants a year. only 3% of the total population of any foreign group already in the USA IN 1910 would be allowed in after 1921
        • THE NATIONAL ORIGIN ACT 1924 - this reduced the limit of immigrants to 150000 a year and cut the quota to 2%. banned asian immigrants offending existing chinese and japanese communities in USA
