- Deductively valid arguments = syllogisms
- Categorical syllogism e.g. Socrates -> men -> mortal
- Disjunctive syllogism: e.g. cat either alive or dead -> not dead therefore must be alive
- Hypothetical syllogism: if it rains -> streets will be wet -> it's raining -> therfore, streets wet.

- Backup Evidence Q: Is E's assertion based on Evidence?
