- The son is finding his own way
- Loosened - delicate, gentle, careful.
- The son is finding his own way and although the father isn't ready for him to leave, he understands.
- 'How selfhood begins with a walking away, and love is proved in the letting go.'
- The father knows the son needs to leave to grow independent.
- Resolution: children must become independent by leaving and parents must let them go.
