      • Brazil’s VW were once running on bio-fuel. Sugar cane used to mix with petrol. Great idea as Brazil had lots of sugar cane to use however, as car use increased, so did the amount of land required to farm.
      • Dieselgate,  involved purposefully manipulating the data coming out of car exhausts to meet standards. This cost VW about $15bn, however has created a much longer term issue. ,lost trust with VW, if VW has to scale back, who will take their place?
      • Active in Spain to plant more trees to offset CO2 emissions. This has had a positive impact.

          • 2012, Lamborghini bought Ducati, 1998 VW bought Lamborghini under Audi group division
            • ducati= part  of lamborghini which is part of audi which is part of VW group
              • VW runs whole family of once independent brands
      • 2009, VW agreed merger with Porsche taking 50.76% shares of joint company
        • cost of buying VW shares cost Porsche too much- in 2012 VW acquired majority shares and absorbed into VW group
