      • protein-digesting enzymes to break down stains such as blood and food
      • fat-digesting enzymes to break down oil and grease in stains
    • In Industry
      • Proteases are used to pre-digest protein in baby foods
      • carbohydrases are used to convert starch into sugar syrup
      • Isomerase converts glucose syrup into fructose syrup, which is even sweeter.
        • It can be used in smaller quantities which makes it ideal for use in slimming foods
