    • Why is the Pope important?
      • 1. He holds the most authority in the Catholic Church
        • 2. He ordains cardinals and priests
      • 1. He is responsible for the beliefs and teachings of the Church

    • Why is Mary important to Catholics?
      • 1. She had an immaculate conception meaning Jesus was sinless
        • 2. Due to Mary being born without original sin and God being father
      • 1. Without her obeying, Jesus wouldn't have been born
        • 2. Without his birth, there would be no Christianity or salvation
      • 1. Virgin Birth means Mary gave Birth to God so she is "Mother of God"
        • 2. Meaning she is the most important human being to have lived

    • Is the Bible still useful to modern day Christians?
      • YES
        • 1. (Catholics) It records the teachings of Jesus and shows how to achieve salvation
        • 2. Contains 10 Comm. which are God's basic guidelines on how to live
        • 3. It is God's words to humans so we should obey teachings
      • NO
        • 1. It was written thousands of years ago, no longer relevant to modern life
        • 2. The Bible's teachings on equal rights for women and homosexuals are no longer acceptable
        • 3. The Bible has nothing to say on modern issues such as infertility treatments
