    • Illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18
    • All tobacco packs must have large,hard hitting health warnings and not allowed to show misleading terms such as low tar, mild or light
      • They must also carry a shocking picture warning about the effects of smoking
    • All adverts are banned - tobacco companies are not allowed to sponsor events
    • It is against the law to smoke in all indoor public places and workplaces
    • Smoking is banned in public places like football grounds, railway stations or open air platforms
    • You can be prosecuted for smoking while driving as this is regarded as failing to have proper control of your vehicle
    • You can be given a £50 on the spot fine for littering if you drop a cigarette end
