      • Advantage of interviews over questionnaires: can clarify if the individual is confused
    • Relationship between stress and immune system
      • Cortiocosteriods produces as a result of chronic stress can shrink the thymus gland, preventing the growth of T cells. Also interferes with the production of antibodies
      • Cancer, chronic fatigue disorder, influenza
      • Kiecolt-Glaser et al. (1984): procedure: natural, 75 medical students, questionnaires, 2 blood samples, T-cells, one month before final exams and another during findings: T-cell activity reduced, reduced most in those who reported high levels of life events and loneliness, limitation: difficult to establish cause-effect - cannot be certain that stress caused decrease in T-cell activity
