    • The big three
      • Lloyd George(Great Britain)
        • wanted to punish germany but not too harsh.
      • Clemenceau(france)
        • wanted Germany to be punished harshly to keep france safe.
      • Woodrow  Wilson(usa)
        • wanted to be reasonable and generous to prevent future wars.
        • suggests the 14 points. This is where the idea of the league of nations came from.
    • Signed in 1919.
    • Terms of the treaty
      • Alsace and lorraine were taken from germany
      • Rhineland demiliterised
      • Germany was forced to take the blame from the war- war guilt.
      • Germany's armed forces were reduced to 100,000 men.
      • no conscription
      • no  aircraft of submarines and only 6 battleships
      • forced to  pay 6.6 billion in reperations
      • lost all of it's empire, they were now run by the LON.
      • Leauge of Nations was set up.
    • Germany were not happy with the terms of the treaty and this is what caused alot of problems later on
