- Oil coated birds (affected buyancay and regulation of temperature), mammal oil ingestion (ulcers and imternal bleeding, dead corals 7 miles from spill
- Oil toxicity killed eggs and larval organisms= changes to ecosystem food chain
- 1100 miles of coastal wetland contamination= poor water quality
- Closure of Gulf of Mexico site=new ones in the Artic
